Selected images are from a senior portrait session at Salt Pond with Katy shown in black&white process. Katy is a great personality to work with, I loved being able to take time beyond the session to create unique images. Katy's parents were along to help, Bryan was holding reflectors and a mobile light stand and her mom Heidi assisted with art direction and the idea to honor the painting Ophelia towards the end of the photoshoot. 

I want to take the inspiration by Ophelia further... with Queens Pond and flowers... and those images will definitely be shown in color! Thanks to the Davidson's, this was a group effort!

The breathtaking views of Koke'e National Park and Waimea Canyon make the best location for portraits. Most of my clients prefer beach sessions and I'm happy to oblige either but I really do enjoy mauka air and the serenity of Koke'e. This place has special meaning for Christine and her family as well. John Roodhouse, your presence was felt all along and we saw your light and love for Christine and Val in the rainbows...

Kissing Cousins

Not really kissing cousins, but cousins Brenna and Ysabel have always been super close. They were born a few months part and although they have their own different personalities and styles I hope they are remain as close as they are now. 

I really love Black&White photography but the colors of Hawaii make it difficult for me to choose...
