Innocent Country Boudoir

Thank you so much Charleen for letting me post your pics! Char and I went up to her pasture last Spring for this session, she's an outdoor girl and it was the perfect setting for a little Country Boudoir, she was feeling a little frisky!

It's really inspiring for me to see the girl next door unfold into her sexy self during a session. Not all of us are comfortable in front of the camera, we all have insecurities. When we allow ourselves to feel beautiful we can truly become the vision of our imagination... okay the right lighting and lens and location matters too. There is no doubt that Char here is obviously a knock out, but she's not a model and she isn't a glam girl either, I wanted to capture her sweet and innocent nature. She put her faith in me to make her "look good" and came with her game face on (hair and make-up.) We chose a location that she feels confident in, a place that she loves, where she keeps her horses and spends happy times.

Char got 200 images from our session, which lasted about 90 minutes. These are my favorite 30 images finished in my Antique Process.

Clients can choose the location, or you can come into my Bliss Boudoir Studio located in Lawai Valley for your session. Boudoir is not a new thing, but also not widely available and not for everyone, but if you ever invested in a nice pair of panties then maybe this is something you will appreciate.

"The term "boudoir" may also be ascribed to a genre of photography. Boudoir photography is not generally a new concept and numerous examples including images of Clara Bow, Mae West and Jean Harlow photographed in a boudoir style from the 1920s through the 1940s.

Typically shot in a photographer's studio or luxury hotel suites, it has become fashionable to create a set of sensual or sexually suggestive images of women (and occasionally men and couples) in "boudoir style". The most common manifestation of contemporary boudoir photography is to take variations of candid and posed photographs of the subject partly clothed or in lingerie. Nudity is more often implied than explicit. Commercially the genre is often (though not exclusively) derived from a market for brides to surprise their future husbands by gifting the images on or before their wedding day. Destination Greenwich Connecticut

The Merchant-Butterfield Family are not only loyal clients but really good friends. I photographed the wedding of Aly and Jana in beautiful Mystic CT in 2012.

Wonderful to see the family they started with lovely little Samantha. The session took place in Bryant Park, located in the Indian Harbor neighborhood of Greenwich, CT. Bryant Park is kind of meaningful to my family, my stepfather grew up in this neighborhood and my sister has lived adjacent to the park her entire life, this area has been my mom's home for 20 years now. Although I grew up in Bedford Hills, NY as my mother did and her mom etc... my mother relocated right after I graduated high school when she remarried. Whenever I'm there I think about the roots my sister has here and how this is home to my family now, and my home away from home.
Jana is a dear friend since we were kids and she has stayed in Connecticut, photographing her family in a place that makes me think of my family seemed appropriate and convenient next door!

Because I love black&white and because I love colors I'm showing my favorite picks in both formats.
