Along The Koloa Heritage Trail We Go: Prince Kuhio Park, Kaua'i

Aloha! Welcome to the Kauai Bliss Photography blog. Please also visit website www.kauaiblissphoto.com to book Portrait Sessions, Weddings and more! Mahalo!!

Prince Kuhio Park is located on Lawai Road and sits across Ho'ai Bay, the surf spot is often referred to as "PKs." Ancient fish ponds, the Ho'ai Heaiu, rock walls and a statue to honor the birthplace of Prince Jonah Kuhio can be seen as well as some local fruit trees.
There are numerous signs to remind visitors to respect and preserve the culture by staying of the rock walls and heaiu.
As a photographer I really wanted to photograph the park from all angles but there were several vantage points I did not explore in order to honor the Kapu. I was graced with a beautiful rainbow and can only guess this beautiful image was gifted to me as a Mahalo for my reverence.
